Roundup: 2020 Reading Challenges
It’s the beginning of the year (for a little while longer at least) and it’s great fun to start a yearly challenge if that’s your kind of thing.
I am always specifically interested in what types of reading challenges people make, and some have been creating them for several years, which makes it fun to see how they’ll change it up year to year. So I’ve gathered these prompts and challenges for your reference. You can participate if you want, peruse the prompts, or just look at what others are up to in their reading lives!
Whatever you do with this list or with your reading life this year I do hope you’ll push yourself to read something different by someone with a different perspective than your own. In this world that can be overwhelmingly challenging and hurtful, it’s important to remind ourselves what brings us together as people. Reading outside your own experience is an important way to gain empathy and help foster and grow your bond to other people.
