Monday tid-bits on a Wednesday - week 3
What a week it has been! My kids have launched themselves into a 5 day weekend so bless all our hearts. They also had their valentine’s school exchange which is always cute.
Here’s some nonsense from the internet that I found interesting and thought provoking:
I can’t get enough of this video from two actors of The Good Place - no I haven’t seen the finale yet, yes I will cry.
Lots of people are criticizing the Superbowl’s half time show (aren’t they always whenever there’s a female performer?) to which I want to shove this article and this article at them because that is absolutely selective nonsense.
This article is also fascinating in examining our own often unconscious biases and prejudices and is well worth reading and then doing some self-examination. Especially if your version of Jesus or God is a white man.
I really need this book in my life.
Speaking of books, I have been devouring this series lately. Not sure what it is but it’s hit just the right button for me in a way that makes it my go-to cozy escape world. Which is odd because it’s a world surrounded my werves and vamps and all sorts of spooky spooks.
This comparison of covers is really interesting, and gives great info for anyone wondering why UK and US covers of the same book are often different.
Finally, this week I am enjoying not being sick anymore. My sense of taste and smell are almost back to full strength and it is so good to not feel bad. I don’t recommend getting sick, but I DO recommend heartily embracing every delight of feeling better when health returns. It’s glorious to be functional.
Have a great week! I’ve got one more really awesome blog tour this week so I hope you come back to check it out - and let me know what you’re enjoying these days! I love hearing about what delights people.
