Celebrity Book Club Update: December 2022

Not sure if I’ll continue these next year, but they have been interesting to keep track of for a while. Not sure either what the data could even mean but it is a curiosity what rises to the top of lists and I wish wish wish there was some type of data about just how these folks make their selections. Who’s giving them books besides everyone? And if everyone’s giving you books how do you then choose what you choose? I guess we’ll never know. Anyway, here is the selection for December. Reese Witherspoon X Hello Sunshine - The Marriage Portrait, by Maggie O’Farrell - I read I Am, I Am, I Am, and it was excellent. Haven’t read her fiction yet though but this one sounds cool.

Belletrist (Emma Roberts) - They’re Going to Love You, by Meg Howrey - Love the cover, don’t know a thing about it. Helpful aren’t I ;)

Read with Jenna (Jenna Bush Hager) - The Secret History, by Donna Tartt - ok don’t come for me but…I haven’t read this…it’s on my shelf…I know it’s like the staple foundational tome of the lit chick vibe, not that I have a claim on that turf by any means, but yeah. Never read it. Someday, maybe. Cool selection nevertheless though.

GMA Book Club - The Light Pirate, by Lily Brooks-Dalton - I have no feelings about this at all, positive or negative.

Natalie Portman’s Book Club - Olga Dies Dreaming, by Xochitl Gonzalez - I’ve got an audio of this and have heard great things about it since it came out. It’s on my TBR for sure and the cover is lovely.
